Is there a way to tell Sentry to only send alerts for humans? I have it on a few cameras, but I can't find anywhere I can tell it (on the Sentry Website) only trigger on people. Or maybe I don't have it set up properly and those things are designated in Blue Iris? I don't recall seeing that option for Sentry Alerts, though I do recall it when using Deepstack, even though I still got tons of false when I told it to ignore cars.

But anyway, this is specific to Sentry Alerts. I wanted to see if I could cut down on the vehicle catches of my porch camera. It sees a small section of the road in front of my house and triggers on every freaking car that drives by.

In blue iris select the camera settings then trigger>artificial intelligence, then uncheck vehicle detection.
You can also set blue iris to not trigger from motion on the road.
I think you may be the only person still using Sentry :D

Okay, let me check that out. I might be, lol. That's right, I just checked, I don't have the vehicle detection checked, that is what was throwing me, by this time, after over a year, it should know what a vehicle is and not send me alerts on them, since I don't have Vehicle checked in Trigger/AI.

Is there a human in the image? Is the car being marked as human? I dont believe sentry learns anything from your images.

So I am checking the SMS messages and it looks like it is tagging stuff as PERSON activity. Here are a few of the images that are sent. Some have no vehicle or person in them, others, all I see is the car. It might be seeing the driver?

I added an exclusion zone for that area, I'll see if it helps. I hesitated to do it because I wanted to catch people that walk down the sidewalk. I wasn't sure if exclusion zones worked for the AI detections like Sentry or Deepstack. I also thought the point of using AI was to train them to get fewer false positives, but I probably read it wrong. I might go back and give Deepstack another try, but I have to get it running on a different PC. Running it on the local PC was eating up all the CPU cycles, which I didn't like.

Hi. I’m still using Sentry. Haven’t checked into deep stack for awhile. Is it easy to get set up?

Thanks. Ya. Just testing now even with older dell i7 and seems to be adequate cpu! Very nice!

The 2022 version of Deepstack supports Multithreaded Inference which lowers cpu usage. Though some folks have issues with this version not detecting anything most problems seem to be related to the GPU version. I have tested this 2022 release in one system running the cpu version in windows and it works well.
