I have 2 of these cams setup working in the amcrest app and BI. I am able to communicate via the Amcrest app, but the BI app I am unable to speak. I am able to hear. Any thoughts. I have verified settings on my phone and multiple other devices.

For some reason i thought these new cams were using the Smart home setup. Like the Doorbell does, and the Nanny Cam.....Anyway, it's late, brain is fried....I dont have the BI App. my BI system runs offline. ( at work) But i have a couple Amcrest cams at home. the doorbell, and the 2mp turret.
Somebody will be along with answers.....I'm sure...sooner or later.

It works properly in the AmcrestViewPro app.
Why did you install the Amcrest app if you have the BI app?
Did you scan a QR code with the Amcrest app?

IIRC, that model cam is not part of the Smart Home series and does not require initial setup with their app to work with BI.
So 2-way audio with the BI app should work when properly configured.
I have 3 of the Amcrest IP2M-841's that work properly for 2-way audio with the Bi app.

I did it so I could use the audio function only, since it isn’t working in BI currently. I setup with IP to test audio once it was already working innBI. BI is the only app I use for recording etc.

If your corresponding pages look like these 2 screenshots below of my Amcrest IP2M-841 which has working 2-way audio, then I suggest you reset the cam, don't have anything to do with the Amcrest app, try again with BI.

Hey thanks you put me on the right path! My device make and model was set to generic. Changed it to the proper Amcrest model and it works great now! Thanks!!!

Can someone who has this working PLEASE help me out with this one. I've waisted too much time with trial and error and I still can't get back channel for talk support working.
Android Blue-Iris app has permission to use mic, location, storage

In image #1, why the drop-down "http://" selected but the port ":443" (for "httpS") appended at the end of the camera IP?

I'd go with http (default 80) vs. https.
What ver of BI? That image #1 looks to be over a year old.
Have you tried putting in cam's IP and password and let BI "Find/Inspect"?

Find/Inspect is how I got PTZ working.

Find/Inspect sets it to Generic/ONVIF as poster above wrote. But he said

My Blue Iris v.5.3.1.6 is a year old, but it has this Amcrest IP4M-1051 as an option under Make and Model so I would assume that wouldn't be an issue.
