The 3.6mm is under production, will have some samples at Middle July i think.
There will be no turret version for this 1/1.2CMOS

Full color one has these with LED. Samples will be ready soon too. Traditioanl IR models will have some new 4K ones to release. 1/1.8cmos too.

This camera has a bigger board than the currently IPC-T5442T-ZE, so the turret right now still can't hold it. So that is why powerful cams always use bullet or dome ones.

so for a turret, whats the biggest sensor thats going to be offered? varifocal or fixed?

Hmm

Hik already have the 1/1,8" with 4K IR-Version turrets

DS-2CD3H86G2-IZS
DS-2CD3386G2-IS

cant find any reviews on these models, but i can buy one for 370€

according to the hik website, the IS(U) has also an alarm input/output ... sounds really interesting !

As promised here is the updated day testing video + I also show the active deterrence feature in action along with the new ‘inside’ option for your Intrusion Zone config that allows you to set duration and sensitivity of targets within the zone. As always be sure to choose 4K when playing back (Watch in YouTube directly). Overall I think the changes to light handling in this FW has also helped the day image. Again certainly allows me to dial it in further for a more accurate image in cam.

Other Update

As for the other update, look what else turned up

Will look to get a comparison of these 2 (for night performance) as soon as I can. There are a lot of differences between these cams that anyone considering either one should be aware of. Therefore have created a quick table below just on the differences for now to assist.

As mentioned before, I’ve used a lot of Hik’s over the years and while some cams (dark fighters etc) have been great, there’s not that many in the current catalog (and those that I’ve used recently) that have wowed me for a number of reasons. That's not to say Hik doesnt make some great cams but for me there are only a few that I would recommend and those tend to be in the higher model/price range.

Therefore going into this ColorVu with an open mind as always and will be very interested to see (as I'm sure all of you will) how the Hik and Dahua stack up in the area of color at night.

More on this soon, stay tuned !

Note: I will be including all links to all videos in the original post too for easy reference going forward. Also look out for the dive bombing bird ;)

All, just a quick follow up. I'm still working on the comparison and am currently looking at mounting these as close to each other as possible as well as building a config thats fair (since they are very different in key areas) for both a like for like comparison and then pushing each further. The more I test these individually, the more I expect to see a clear winner in this comparison but won't know for sure until final like for like :)

I plan on getting this completed and uploaded by late this week but wanted you to know......I'm on it :)

Stay tuned !

It will probably be the fairest and most impartial test anywhere. ;)

I've got to say, WC, your expertise is only surpassed by your dedication. Every time someone posts a YouTube video review here, typically for low end stuff, I can't help but think of what you would find reviewing them and how uninformed those reviewers actually are. Talk about mis-information! In the mean time we've got you going more than the extra mile and a half. Thanks again!

This 4K camera still need some upgrade on fw for the anti-parcel lost function and exposure default adjustment, will come out at end of July. Then can be a real perfect cam :D
Yes I’m glad that Dahua engineers that you and I are working with are currently taking the settings I’ve fed back for code level changes and are implementing into next FW. I believe these under the hood changes that today I’ve had to hard code will make a big difference for all and ensure that all of you will get a good image straight out of the box that can then be dialed in just slightly for your FOV and conditions.

I will also re-test the objecting monitoring rule once re-introduced in FW.
