Im looking for an outdoor poe cam that works with blue iris that has great night vision . I will be using it to watch my swimming pool. i was considering the starlite but i was wondering what folks opinions are on the best on. One with out the 2 giant spotlights on it. i recently bought a colorvu and it had giant spotlights on it.. thats not night vision.. thats just lighting up the area and i dont want that. please if you have an opinion please provide the model. i would like to try and stay under 300$ for the camera if possible.

Thanks in advance.

Hikvision makes the same cam with ir led. You ordered the wrong version. Dahua makes cams with ir or white led as well depending on the specific model you order

Did you try it without the giant spotlights? I have 3 of them and I do not have the lights turned on. They work great. By the way these are the ones with the 1/1.2" sensor.

I cant figure out how to turn the lights off. There is no option in blueiris and they come on as soon as it gets dark.

this is what I bought

How did you get in before? Surely you logged in and set the cam up?
Are you sure you are using the correct IP address?

Can use a bullet IBC-B5442E-ZE or turret IPC-T5442T-ZE. Best night vision
The led is for making the cam in night color pic, if turn off it will have poor pics.

i had to use some hikvision software which only gave me the option to turn camera on so that blueiris could see it. there was no other settings in the software at all

most likely your computer ip doesn't match that of the camera for example when i first change my hikvision camera to a 10.1.1.* after the 192.168.1.* it will not let me in unless i go into my router settings and make my ip 10.1.1.1 then i can log into my camera thru the web ip address but not when I am on the same 192.168.1.*** as my dvr

You likely used sadp to activate the camera. There are a myriad of settings in the camera itself. Get the correct ip address from BI and log into the camera. The default camera settings will give you issues with BI (for example the iframe interval) and there are a bunch of optimizing you are not taking advantage of.
