My name is Cheryl and I am an addict. It started out with a small indoor cam to keep up with the cat. As my addiction grew I wanted more. I experimented with a small Hikvision bullet cam to view wildlife in my yard. That was...as they say...a gateway drug.

After much reading on this website I purchased a used Dell Optiplex computer online and ran network cable to my boathouse and to various locations along my waterfront.

Fast forward to today. I have a 60X Dahua PTZ Dahua SD10A260WA-HNF mounted to my boathouse and a handful of other cams along the waterfront and also at my house. Also I have a small Dahua PTZ inside of a wood duck box.

The cameras have been a lot of entertainment - especially during this pandemic. This has definitely been a learning experience and there is still so much to learn. It is exciting to wake up in the morning and check my cameras to see what came through during the night. Every morning is like Christmas.

There is a bald eagle nest over 200 yards from my dock. My 60X PTZ does a pretty job of recording their action. There are pine limbs partially obscuring the view of the nest but I’ll take what I can get. It’s a joy to watch them grow up.

Thanks to all who contribute to this website. I thought you might enjoy some eagle footage.

Very nice! This gives me inspiration.

I want to mount a wireless camera in the woods behind my house. My goal is to capture video of the wildlife at night, especially the deer, foxes, squirrels, chipmunks, and occasional owl that visits.

Your story sounds like mine. I started with some really cheap cameras and Zoneminder to keep tabs on the dogs.
Now I have a ton of cameras and barely care about the dogs or people, it's all about the deer/skunks/porcupines/raccoons :)
Yep. I get it. Last night I had deer, a possum, raccoon, great blue heron
Really nice sharing, thanks!
This ptz is the biggest ptz we have right now. :D
I bought it from you, Andy. Any new model big PTZs any time soon?
