    Hey buddy

Right now i have the bullet one stock in only, turret right now i don't have stocks, it's a new one.
For outdoor use a bullet also ok, this bullet is a mini one, easy to install.

thanks for the quick reply, I would need the look of a dome or turret, a bullet wont work. i will wait. thanks again
Hello Andy. Been a few years since I bought cameras from you. Need four more. Looking at the IPC-T5442T-ZE. Will need four junction boxes (PFA-130E?) with them for outdoor use. What would be the cost including shipping to Washington state in the US? Thanks.
    Hi Andy

Some time back you recommended Loryta IPC-T2347G-LU 4MP ColorVu to me. and it works very well for me. I notice they are now out of stock. Will they come back, or is there an alternative you would recommend? I am looking to pick up a few more.

I am running blue iris and am not brand particular.

    Thanks

    Hi Scott

I send you the PM now for the colorvu camera, still have but right now use the G2 version.

Hi, I've bought a couple of your cams off Amazon for a friend. Now I need some for my house. Outdoors with dim or low light. One with 2 cameras to cover 270 degrees at house corner. I saw you had one but like an upgrade to that 2x2MP Starlight? Or are 2 separate better? Thank you n advance..

yes, use a dual lens can be good if you have 1 CABLE at the outdoor, if you are easy to do more cables then use 2pcs IPC-T5442TM-AS 2.8mm

Can you send me a link to the latest firmware update for the Dahua IPC-HFW1831C-PIR ?

Currently on IPC-HX2X3X firmware: V2.800.0000010.0.R, Build Date: 2019-08-07
I had purchased this camera directly from you a few years ago.
    thanks
Hi Andy, I recently bought two of your cameras through Amazon, a T5442TM-AS on Memorial Day and a T5442T-ZE on Prime Day. The AS is working well.

I set up the ZE last night using a PoE adapter - updated the firmware to 210525 and set IP addressing to DHCP. When I plugged it into my PoE switch, it began acting oddly. It initially reported a weird MAC address (in Apple's assigned block?) to my DHCP server and then after about 30 seconds reported the expected MAC. It also wasn't reachable consistently via ping or browser. It's possible that it was cycling through multiple reboots.

Would you recommend an "at" PoE switch with the ZE (mine is "af" which may not provide enough power) or do you think the camera is defective?

It has the same power as the TM-AS, i send you a PM for further talking.
I have a Dahua - DH-SD29204T-GN that I like, but would like to find something simialar but with about 12x optical zoom. Can this be found in this same form factor (not the big bulky white domes hanging from a stick!)?

    Hi Buddy

There is no ptz with 12X zoom now, only have 25x , please check SD49225XA-HNR, can hang on a pole with pole mount.

What is the maximum zoom I can get on a PTZ that looks similar the DH-SD29204T-GN ? I really do not like the looks of the SD49225XA-HNR. I am sure they are good, but I am willing to sacrifice a bit on the zoom to have the look and style of the DH-SD29204T-GN.

    Hi Andy,

I'm looking for security cameras to cover my garden and the outside of my house. I have plenty of trees which move a lot with wind and cut quite some visibility in long distances. Was thinking of PTZ cameras since I guess they will work best only alerting when people come in and not when trees/animals move.

Any recommendation of type of camera or even model? Can share a pic of the parcel if needed (55 x 25m).
    E
    EMPIRETECANDY
Use a latest SMD PTZ is fine, check SD49425XB-HNR.
If has poor light in the night, use SD49225XA-HNR

    thank you!
both of them will only alert with human/vehicle and not with trees/animals?

if that's the case, how can I buy them? I think I could need around 8 of them, although rather buy one unit first to test it out

    Hi, Andy
Need to upgrade my four cameras and thinking of the IPC-T5442T-ZE Varifocal, Want good person and vehicle detection but not sure what the best lens for my short driveway is - think this is the best way to figure it out in all 4 locations. I’m from western Canada and amazon price here seems real high any suggestions on best place to buy from? From you?

Forgot to mention I’m running Blue Iris 4 on a ESXi Win10 VM (25% cpu) which has worked perfect for over 2 years. Thoughts on upgrading to v5 for improved H.265 when using this camera.

Aha this camera is a good cam. Not cheap compare to the cheap brand.
I just send you a DM
    Hi Andy,

I already have a couple of your cams running fine thank you and am now after another one please.

Need it for the side of the house, which is very narrow, long and dark.

I'm running SecuritySpy software on my Mac so not BI.

    Recommendations please?

    Thank you :)
    Hi Andy,

I am setting up a new system with Blue Iris at my home and need some recommendations for about 6-8 cameras:
    • One camera over the garage that covers my small driveway - Plenty of street lighting plus exterior garage lighting. I just want to make sure it's in color since it will be pointed on our cars. (Colorvu or similar)
    • Two cameras that will cover the 2 sides of my home - there is no exterior lighting on the sides, but some from the front street lights (open to suggestions)
    • One camera that will cover my backyard (Colorvu or similar)
    • Two cameras that will cover my front entrance - one leading to my front door and one over the front door itself (open to suggestions)
    • Possibly an additional 2 cameras to capture sidewalk pedestrians before they walk in front of my home (open to suggestions)
Any help would be appreciated. I can buy from your Amazon store after receiving your recommendations.
    Hello Andy,

I currently have one "2wire normal video doorbell" which I placed years ago, it's works nice but I would like to replace it with one that I can control from my phone too! Do you have any recommendations?
    • I have POE+ available for the front doorbell camera
    • I could have POE+ available too for the inside monitor if needed

Extra question: will I need to reuse any of the existing 2wire doorbell cables?

I also need a few security cameras, but let's tackle that when I manage to get the video doorbell sorted out :)

    Thanks a lot!
    Hello Andy,
I am looking to upgrade one of my two old Lorex systems to a Blue Iris system and have been looking at cameras.

3 to 5 of the IPC-T5442TM-AS or IPC-T5442T-ZE just not sure what the differences is.

    7 to 8 of the IPC-T2413T-AS

And possibly one of this one. SD49425XB-HNR
Please feel free to DM me.

    Thanks
    Buddy
Andy I need a couple of cameras to protect my house while I'm driving to Cali. Must have Starlight Technology or equivalent, be bullet cameras, POE capable, and as cheap as possible. Don't know if you can find something. If the price is right I'll buy one or two more. George
    Hi Andy
Are your Loryta cameras upgradable directly from Dahua? Specifically the DAHUA DH-IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E. Are there any differences (other than the logo) between the Dahau version and the Loryta OEM version? Thanks!

I plan to use this as an LPR. Slow moving vehicles in a parking lot or stopped at a gate only. Mounted roughy 15'-20' off the ground about 150'-175' feet from the car. Is this the right choice for that application? Also, I noticed it was cheaper to buy from you on your aliexpress store vs your Amazon store. Am I looking at that correctly? Thanks!
    E
    EMPIRETECANDY
Yes 150-175ft can work if place not very dark at night. If too dark, will need an external IR light.
I send you a PM about the details.

Awesome - thanks! plenty of light - directly under an LED streetlight.
    Hi,
I have a IPC-HDW5541H-AS-PV and have an issue.

Everything appears to be working as expected, however, when any IVS rule is triggered, I get no Audio and light alerts.

During playback I can see the rule is triggered, I can reply, I even get mobile notifications - just no audio alert or lights!.

If I play the audio files manually, they are fine and can be heard.

Anyone any idea? I have reset and reloaded firmware.
    Regards,
    E

    Hi Andy,

    2.800.0000000.19R, Build Date:2020-07-09

I've managed to fix it, but it has required a factory reset and a manual reconfiguration. If I import the backup config I get that strange issue.
