    i have got another Ethernet wire, but my modem is connected to the router via Ethernet as its in modem mode, and then DVR to router so thats my 2 Ethernet used! dont have a 3rd for my laptop, only thing i can try is disconnect my router, and turn on the WiFi in my modem?
