Site ads making site unusable on mobile Safari

Between the ads and the screenshots of ads this thread is pretty much unreadable. But yes chrome on mobile has become riddled with ads lately. It used to be just a banner or two and a full screen ad when you clicked to navigate between threads but now it's just all ads.

Switching from VPN to Port Forwarding.

If I could make a comment here that might clarify the above. If any of you have used bit torrent you might like to think of it that way. There is a camera/NVR (the seed) and there is a mobile app (the leech). In order for the leech to find the seed they both talk to the vendor server (the...

Question : How to login on Google Chrome With Win11

Somewhere on these forums is a post containing a command you can save as a shortcut that will open an IE browser window. Yes, IE is still there on Windows 11. It's still heavily used by certain components.

It's quite easy to prove. Just have a look through the post history and you'll see it pulling lines out of previous comments and reposting it.

    DHCP or static?

It suffers a little when everyone is on the wifi smashing it plus the signal can be a bit lacking in some parts of the house. I've been looking at getting some TP-Link deco m4 mesh units to chuck around the house.

That's what I'm running. I quite like it but I'm finding the wifi a bit lacking these days.

    DHCP or static?

In your specific situation the router is irrelevant to the network that the cameras are on. Changing the IP of the router is a good option if your cameras relied on it. Like I said there's any number of what ifs and the solutions to those are just as varied. Changing routers is usually...

    DHCP or static?

What happens if you're using static ip's and your router goes belly up and your new one is a different subnet? There's any number of what ifs but you can't account for all of them so use a configuration that is easily managed and suitable for what you have now, not what you might have in the...

Need help with powering the Reolink RLC-811A

I think it's mainly the cameras and probably the nvrs too. Having said that, they have a doorbell camera that is quite popular on these forums. I use one of the poe sensor lights. No camera, just a sensor light that is poe. That works perfectly fine.

    Vlan question for many cameras.

If all of the cameras are on that one switch and there are no other devices on that switch then you could switch that port on your UDM to its own vlan and it should work just fine. I prefer to use DHCP reserved IP addresses, but as long as the addresses you're using for your cameras are not...

    unmanaged switch.

What exactly are you expecting to see occur? What does "recognised by router" mean in your mind? Because a switch will not be recognised by a router unless it has been configured in a certain way and while I'm pretty sure your switch is a managed switch you don't seem to have configured it so it...

    unmanaged switch.

That's what I do. Not because I don't have enough ports on my switch but because some of my cameras can't send alerts if they're connected directly to the NVR so I plug them into the switch and send the alerts directly from the cameras. Edit: I should add that the cameras plugged into the...
