    Blue Iris UI3

Have you given any further consideration to workarounds for this issue? I've tried the suggestion to use Firefox on mobile devices (it's already my preferred browser in a desktop), and although it initially looked promising, the error message did eventually show up there as well. If I switch to...

    Blue Iris UI3

Anyone else seeing the UI3 popup alert: "Detected HTML5 video player stall. Reopening video stream." far more often in the last couple of months, when it was never previously present at all (in my case)? I don't recall exactly when this changed, but it was fairy recently. This happens on a...

That is one creepy looking AI generated face...especially the eyes, they have a mix of 100 yard stare and dead eyes.

    Having an issue with 5.9.1.0

Same here, just installed 5.9.1.2 and the issue seems to be resolved. Thanks for reporting. Edit: Any idea what he changed in regards to "Motion detection improvements" in these two releases today? They weren't noted in the initial 5.9.1.0.

    Having an issue with 5.9.1.0

Agreed, this seems to have started with the 5.9.0.x releases, when Ken opened up the possibility of fully adjusting the pre-recording buffer times. So much so that it's hard to know what the old defaults were (at least in my case).

    Having an issue with 5.9.1.0

Same, I look forward to seeing your response from Ken (I haven't reported it myself). I hadn't noted the difference between a freshly restarted system and the delay that happens on a long running system, only the latter.

Some success with a coral tpu (m.2) with CPAI and BI

Goon news, but the number of failed inferences seems rather high, more than one out of every six. Isn't that a problem?

    Alert problem with latest update

Same here, problems with alerts in the last two "point" releases, rolling back (just slightly) to 5.8.9.1 fixes it for me.

    CodeProject.AI Version 2.0

You seem particularly well positioned to re-try this setup, given your past experiences and knowledge of the results. Any chance you might be willing to "lead the way" for the rest of us? Or was the whole exercise so distasteful that you don't really want to give it another go?

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

New stream. Wow, I'm used to seeing these updates only containing a terse summary of new features, but this is on a whole 'nother level , two words only. Edit: Nevermind, many thanks to @fenderman and @MikeLud1 for starting a new thread and clarification on this new feature. See here...

    5.8.8 - March 4, 2024

Hmm...I'm surprised that is still working: from the sounds of that 5.8.7.8 write-up it shouldn't actually add any additional analysis by doing so. Strange that you can still "force" the added images. Perhaps what happens in your case is that the "best" image occurs towards the end of a long...

    5.8.8 - March 4, 2024

Can't answer the "why" part, but this change occured with 5.8.7.8, see below: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/5-8-7-8.74829/

Anyone have a theory on why this cam triggered?

I've seen these Dahua IVS triggers happen plenty of times with "nearby" objects that don't enter or cross trip lines or Intrusion boxes (usually with moving vehicles, not people): at this point I consider it par for the course. It means that you just need to adjust and move your lines back just...

Cameras momentarily disconnect -- with a cadence

I agree, it could be the new audio watchdog settings, but you might also try enabling the "Decoder compatability mode" checkbox. See this thread, where that setting resolved a similar issue: https://ipcamtalk.com/threads/ipc-color4k-t180-intermittent-no-signal-in-bi.72212/

    Cuban Classic Cars

I'll grant you that, although I would add that each of the years from '66 through '69 had many quite notable changes; some structural/functional, some more visually noticeable, but all significant. Super Beetles are a whole 'nuther subject entirely, but I'll stop before we lose the rest of our...

    Cuban Classic Cars

You are correct on almost all of those points, except for the transition year from swing-axle to I.R.S. (C.V.-joint) real axles (1968 was the last year for swing-axles, 1969 had the C.V. joints), and wide-five pattern wheels (1967 still had them, 1968 had the narrow 4-bolt pattern). Not that...

Blue Iris Updates - Official Thread

Fortunately, we get somewhat more detailed update notes from @fenderman when most full "point" (second to last octet or higher) releases come out. Often with a day or two delay, but thankfully they are more complete than the extremely brief release notes on the "update screen".

OpenVPN Asus RT-AX86U does not work

Don't worry too much about the preferred and alternate DNS settings, they aren't particularly relevant to this VPN problem. If in doubt, use Quad9 (9.9.9.9), Cloudflare (1.1.1.1) and /or Google (8.8.8.8), your choice of preference order. If you say that you can definitely access the web...

Three Year Old Dahua Acting Up

Sounds more like a cable termination/corrosion issue if I were to venture a guess. Bummer about it being so difficult to get to, but that may be the key to solving this.

Oh Baby, Baby, where did my alerts go?

Have you recently moved to 5.8.4.x? I had to revert to 5.8.3.3, as all my clone cameras stopped working (they seem to show an active stream, but yellow triangle and have no alerts coming from the clones (main cameras use ONVIF, the clones use B.I. motion detection and CPAI). All back to normal...

Send Pushover notifications with pictures and hyperlinks

Yes, the complexity is slightly daunting, as well as (a perhaps unjustified) fear of delayed notifications, but I am curious enough to hopefully try this out sometime soon, perhaps after you release the upgraded V2 script set. Will that simplify the setup steps, or just expand the...

    Are cloned cameras linked?

OK, thanks to all that replied. I now have it working (more or less) how it is "expected" to be with hidden clones, which is not really how I would prefer, but close enough I suppose. Having to use the filtering for "Selected camera only" just to see ALL of the alerts for that camera (and...

    Are cloned cameras linked?

Yeah, I have run across that note, but I can't seem to get it to work at all. Even under those conditions (filtering the clips by camera), I don't see the alerts generated by it's clone. The only way I see the alert clips of the cloned camera are directly by going to the group that I have it...

    Are cloned cameras linked?

Then does anyone understand what the checkbox for "Group clone clips" really does? Intuitively it would seem to do as I indicated, allowing the Alert to show as one "belonging" to the camera designated as the "Clone master" or original cam, but I can't seem to get that to work.
  28. J

    Are cloned cameras linked?

Can you elaborate a bit there? Decouple? What do you mean...in a beneficial way or undesirable way? I'm still struggling a bit with cloned cameras and wrapping my head around how the alerts from clones appear. Even after tinkering with the "clone master" and "group clones" checkboxes, I still...

    Triggers with new zones/sources

You may also want to first experiment with the checkbox for "start analysis upon motion detection" (or words to that effect, I'm not in front of my B.I. machine right now). Otherwise, it WILL only start upon a trigger in the appropriate zone, which may be too late.

Recommend an Economical GPU for CPAI

You are absolutely right to be aware of the problem, but that will likely not really hit the $200/year mark that the simplified math would indicate. Keep in mind that the 75 watt TDP is the upper limit, at full time 100% utilization, something that shouldn't come close to happening in a B.I...
