New BI User, call me Overwhelmed

I wouldn’t say ”spun up”. I managed to get it set up, running and functional. Used the search function here a lot. There are a ton of things I have no idea what they do. I fit Tony’s description above. I do like to tinker.

New BI User, call me Overwhelmed

It’s not a terrible learning curve. I’m a ditch digger and I managed to at least be functional with BI. Buy it or use the evaluation period but you need to have a cam or 2 up and running and actually play with BI to learn it. At least I did. When you have an issue just ask. You will not be...

New Dahua GUI issue with day night

If the time and date are correct in the camera then it should run. Maybe try a power cycle on the camera just to reboot. I program mine with day, general, night. General is for the transitioning light at dusk and dawn. My time chart looks no different than yours other than the 3rd color. No...

Video from clients house hit by tornado last week

Look on the upper right side of the screen, near the gutter. Most likely aluminum trim coil. Starts out nice, looks like it was blasted by a shotgun by the end. Imagine all that small debris flying around, what it would do to a human.

Cat6, Fiber optics, or wireless bridge to shed

The vibratory plow "puller" is basically a knife blade with a sling attached for holding pipe or wire. Lower blade into ground, vibrate the blade, and drive slow. Pipe gets dragged underground behind the blade. Damage to ground is really dependent on soil conditions and pulling depth. Roots are...

Dual NIC setup on your Blue Iris Machine

This one works just fine for me, I don’t have 8 cams running off it yet but but the 4 I do have running work just fine with the BI machine plugged into the uplink port. You also get some sfp. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B09DRWY7X2/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o09_s00?ie=UTF8&th=1
