Years ago a friends dad died and we brought his 70’s pioneer tube amp and jbl floor standing speakers over. It was about 2am by the time I got an iPod to hook up with 4 generations of connective tech and we fired up Alice In Chains jar of flies and looked at each other and said, “this is how this is supposed to sound!”

I recently recapped a Fisher 800c, replaced the roached output tubes and hooked up my gen1 Heresys. Playing .flac files through a tube hybrid DAC had me ready to be raptured.
