Reolink advised to disable UID and that has fixed the disconnect issue when disabling Internet access. Just in case someone else runs into this.

Spoke too soon lol. I notice if I block internet access the doorbell, it drops connection altogether and won’t reconnect to the router. As soon as I enable internet access it stays connected :(. It seems this doorbell doesn’t work when blocking internet access….that’s a shame!

So far, I gotta say I'm pretty impressed with the quality of this doorbell. Hands down a major upgrade from the Amcrest AD410. I hope this one lasts and doesn't give issues haha.

Mine is not POE though.. does that matter?

I can ping the doorbell, but it won't open on a browser.

It's supposed to be in the Reolink doorbell settings but when accessing it when entering the IP on a browser, but mine doesn't come up.

I can't find that option on the app.

OK.. got the Reolink doorbell, but can't figure out how to add to blue iris :( All the instructions I've found do not work. The Reolink instructions page says to enter the IP of the doorbell on a browser to enter the camera settings, but when I do that, nothing comes up... any help is greatly...

I don't use WDR, so the lack of it wouldn't be an issue for me.

I will be replacing this Amcrest AD410 with Reolink 5MP. So far all the reviews I've seen on Youtube are pretty good. I shall see. It's supposed to get here tomorrow.

ok.. so I tried the ipcam-general, but every time it detects motion, the blue iris app stops connecting for a few moments. I get message saying "connection limit". I have to wait about 30-45 seconds to be able to use the app.

Ah, that's where it is. I had no idea those options where there. I'll give it a try. So those are supposed to be better than the default one? - for example, the default sometimes detects my mailbox as a person lol.. hopefully this fixes that.

just push alerts.. they work fine.. during the day no issue.. during the night, no issues unless I use full reso.

Right.. it would detect the car like you see on the screenshot, but would not fire an alert.. and I'm like what?... why not? The cpu barely budges when motion is detected with multiple cameras triggered. I have a Ryzen 7 5700-G 8 core with 16gigs of ram.

I have it to be very sensitive. But like I said.. if using substreams, I almost get everything everytime...it's only when I don't use substream. What I want to do is.. since I notice the cpu impact is barely noticeable between using subs or not, I figured, why not just use full resolution all...

This an example of the other night. As you can see, it clearly detects the car, but why wouldn't it send an alert. It started detecting the car since It came in the driveway.

I have noticed I get better motion alerts at night using substream that full resolution. I get that would be due the using less CPU when using substreams...but.... 8 cams If I don't use substream, the cpu hovers around 14-16% at night If I use substream, the cpu hovers around 8-10 % at night...

This is the same way with mine. My BI version is 5.8.7.11. Not sure if that is the version you are referring to.
